King Paving & Construction Company Appoints New Junior Superintendent

King Paving & Construction Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Roger Hutter Jr. to the position of Junior Construction Superintendent. Roger started his career with KING in 2010 as a Student Labourer. He attended St. Lawrence College where he graduated in Civil Engineering Technology. He then went on to Queen’s University, and in 2018 he graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering.

Before college, as a Student Labourer, Roger learned very quickly and soon went from flagman, to labourer, to pipelayer and concrete finisher. He gained great experience by starting his career this way, and also earned great respect from all of his co-workers. After graduating college, Roger took on a different role as Junior Project Coordinator where he assisted foremen and superintendents with the daily operations on a job-site.

This past season, after graduating from Queen’s, he took on bigger jobs, namely projects in Eastern Ontario, for Ontario Power Generation. Roger and his team completed 3 projects in Port Hope, Darlington, and Pickering. KING received many compliments from the management at OPG with regard to how well the jobs were run, and because of this, KING looks forward to continuing the job in Pickering in the Spring as well as pursuing more opportunities with OPG.
